Important factor of resistance welding
The following three key factors dominate resistance welding quality.
1. Current
2. Weld time
3. Electrode force
These factors must be checked to maintain stable weld quality. Utilizing a toroidal coil, Weld Checker accurately measures current and weld time to judge good or no-good. In addition, it measures weld force periodically, using pressure sensor. Thus, three dominating factors are fully controlled.

Weld quality control in ISO
In ISO-9000 series, resistance welding is classified as a special process; so weld quality control is to be essential. Every Miyachi Corporation's Weld Checker complies with traceability with National Standard, solving all the weld quality control issue in ISO.

Measuring welding current and weld force
In welding, a very large current (approximately 100A to 50,000A) flows in a short period of time and its waveform varies broadly; a common ammeter cannot measure this current. Miyachi Weld Checker computes the effective value of the current detected by a toroidal coil, giving an accurate current value. A welding current ammeter suitable for weld current waveform and current value must be used. Some Weld Checkers can simultaneously measure both of the welding current and weld force.

Monitoring and Recording
As monitoring period setting can arbitrarily be specified, you can eliminate up-slope time at the start of current application, down-slope time at the end of current application, and beginning and ending of 2-stage current application. Time necessary for weld quality control is picked out and monitored, resulting in effective weld quality control. As recording and drawing out data are also available as necessary, quality is managed as the visible.
